How can I find out what services are offered in my town? Go to the Projects page, click on the "Where You Live" icon, and choose your town from the list. You may also search for projects that take place anywhere in your county if you are willing to travel to receive services. In addition, some services, such as support groups, take place on the Health Center campus in Farmington. It may also be helpful to search under "Keyword" for the your area of interest.

What is the benefit to including my project in the database? The Connecticut Health Website serves as a central source of information regarding projects that demonstrate the range of UConn Health Center’s involvement with outside agencies and community-based organizations. By listing a program on the website, project directors gain administrative endorsement and commendation for community and public health service. The Connecticut Health website also serves as a media for interaction with the general public. Likewise, the website provides an intermediary link to other faculty and staff with similar research and service interests, fostering new collaborative efforts.

Does Connecticut Health provide funding for projects? Connecticut Health does not yet maintain a reservoir of funding resources for community and public health projects. The staff, however, are available to assist project directors in seeking funding through government grants, state contracts, or private and philanthropic sources.
